Kim really helped me recenter my professional focus. After not finding a job in my field after college and then taking time off after my daughter was born, I felt like I wasn’t going anywhere. Kim and I worked together to find my strengths and passions, and then explored long-term career options as well as ways to make my current job more satisfying. Now I like my current job so much I don’t plan to leave.
At the age of forty, I realized that I would need to reassess my career goals. Kim’s guidance, which involved the Highlands Ability Battery assessment, gave the confidence to embark on a new career path. In less than a year’s time, I went from being unemployed to securing a full time position at the University of Georgia and was just recently accepted to the graduate program of my choice. I would highly recommend Kim Turner’s counseling services to anyone, regardless of age, who is struggling to discover the keys to fulfilling their life ambitions.
Kim Turner is the most wonderful person to work with. If anyone in Athens is struggling to figure out what to do with their lives (personally and professionally), it’s time for you to make an appointment. She not only listens to what you’re dealing with emotionally, but also evaluates your driving abilities through the Highland Ability Battery and presents truly constructive, concise options for you to work with as you strive to find professional direction. I now have clear goals and a job that will act as a springboard for my future career in Nursing.
After one meeting with Kim, my mind was opened to a new path that was right for me. Kim is the reason that I am starting graduate school on Monday for my Masters in Teaching. When I was confronted with obstacles, she gave me concrete ideas regarding overcoming them. She helped me determine what steps to take to apply, take admission tests, and be accepted at the program of my choice. She followed up with me and kept me motivated along the way. When I was ready to give up because of a demanding family life and work, she was there with answers and solutions. I would recommend her to anyone who is considering a career change, graduate school, or any other work-life balance issues. I am forever grateful.
